Step Into the Role

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reception, recording, storage, and retrieval of soil and water samples using LIMS and Regmaster systems.

  • Preparation of samples including traying out, crushing, drying, weighing, filtering, splitting into separate containers, adding acids, and preparing leachates.

  • Describing soil types and logging sample descriptions and laboratory data into LIMS and Regmaster.

  • Preparation, recording, storage, and disposal of water and leachate samples.

  • Ensuring all health & safety and quality procedures are adhered to at all times.

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised laboratory work area.

 

Our Offer

  • £29,724.5 per annum

  • Consett (free onsite parking)

  • 42.5 hours Mon-Fri between 0600-1800. (1x4hour shift on Sat every 4 weeks with hours gained back the week earlier)

Your profile

Experience required:

  •  A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a production/warehouse environment.

  •  Industry experience desired but not essential

Qualifications Desired:

  • A minimum of G.C.S.E grade C or above in Science, Maths and English is desirable.

  • Forklift Truck Licence

Additional skills required:

  • Proactive approach to work and good organisational skills.

  • Ability use initiative and work towards targets.

  • Good communicator.

  • Basic computer skills.
